Financial contributions and assistance

There are some costs associated with going to school that you may find it helpful to plan and budget for.

These include:

  • uniforms

  • school books and equipment

  • excursions

  • co-curricular activities.

Voluntary school contributions

Like all NSW public schools, we can request contributions to enhance our educational and sporting programs including elective subjects. School contributions help provide additional educational resources for the benefit of students. Payment is voluntary.

For more information, visit the Voluntary School Contribution policy.

2024 Centaur school contributions

Centaur is asking families for a small contribution this year, to go towards supporting all students through the purchase of valuable resources within the school.

These funds are very important in the context of Centaur’s overall finances and as such we greatly appreciate families who are able to support the school through this contribution. As an example, if all our families participated, the total amount of financial support would tally upwards of $20 000. This amount would truly make a significant difference to the quality and quantity of learning resources for every classroom.

Contributions for 2024 are:

One student                                        $51

Two students                                      $89.25

Three or more students                    $114.75

This school does provide items such as exercise books and covers, paper, home readers, paints and craft supplies, science and sports equipment and other classroom necessities. Payment options to make your contribution are:

  • cash or eftpos at the office
  • online via your School Bytes account

At the end of 2023 the Department of Education mandated that in 2024 all NSW Public Schools should refrain from requesting perishable items (such as tissues, glue sticks, markers etc) from families due to financial hardship, job losses and general economic pressures across the state. We will not be asking for any perishable items to come into school in 2024.

You can support Centaur and our initiatives by continuing to send in your School Contribution.
