Financial contributions and assistance

There are some costs associated with going to school that you may find it helpful to plan and budget for.

These include:

  • uniforms

  • school books and equipment

  • excursions

  • co-curricular activities.

Voluntary school contributions

Like all NSW public schools, we can request contributions to enhance our educational and sporting programs including elective subjects. School contributions help provide additional educational resources for the benefit of students. Payment is voluntary.

For more information, visit the Voluntary School Contribution policy.

2019 Centaur school contributions

There has been no increase to the contribution for 2019.

  • One student $36
  • Two students $62
  • Three or more students $77

Each year Centaur asks this school contribution from all families. The school contribution is very important in the context of Centaur’s overall finances and goes directly to supporting the purchase of valuable resources within the school. As an example, if ALL our families supported this contribution, the total amount of financial support would tally upwards of $20 000. This amount would truly make a significant difference to the quality and quantity of learning resources for each and every classroom.

This school does provide such items as exercise books and covers, paper, home readers, paints and craft supplies, science and sports equipment, and other classroom necessities.

Payment options are cash or eftpos at the office or online via the Make a Payment at the top of this page.

Financial assistance

If you are unable to pay school contributions because of financial hardship, you may be eligible for assistance from the school.

Our principal will ensure no student or family suffers any discrimination or embarrassment over the inability to pay school contributions.
